Someone said forgiveness is costly? The bible says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believed in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life” John 3:16. Are you a whosoever? Some of us are, many of us were, and not many of us know how we got to the “were”.
I sat back and prayed and began to study the scriptures and the Lord revealed to me I had to allow Him to deal with me in a few areas. In order to do this I would have to submit those are in my life over to the Lord. This can be challenging because we can be a bit stubborn. We try to be fixers when in fact we need to allow God to be God.
So, I went to the movies and had a conversation with someone and came to realize just where I got stuck: In the blame game. Playing the blame game can paralyze us in ways we may never fully understand. Blaming others for our actions hinders our spiritual maturity. Once we take ownership for our actions, stop placing unrealistic expectations on others, and do away with the excuses we will get to a point where we control our actions/ reactions and become respondents.
Remember, ” A [shortsighted] fool always loses his temper and displays his anger, But a wise man [uses self-control and] holds it back.” Proverbs 29:11
My question to you is…
Where did you get stuck?
When we can go back to the place that has us stuck and face it, we will be set free!
